This data protection and privacy notice provides information on how Talent Status (also referred to in this notice as "we" or "us") uses personal data relating to users of its websites and services (referred to in this notice as "you"). Our websites and services are referred to in this notice as the "Sites" and the "Services".

It also contains information on marketing activities and the use of cookies on our Sites.

1. Who is Talent Status?
We are registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number: ZA388685

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), if you are based in the European Union, Talent Status is both a controller and processor of your personal information.

We may amend this privacy policy at any time by posting the amended policy on our website ("Website"). All amendments to the privacy policy will take effect immediately upon such posting.

Talent Status’s services are described in full in Talent Status’s terms of use ("Terms of Use"), as updated from time to time.

2. What personal data do we collect and why?
Talent Status collects personal information provided by you about you through your use of the services and the website, including your registration details; and information relating to your use of the web site and the content you access. 

Talent Status may use this personal information to assist us to provide the services to you, for internal research purposes, to verify your identity, for promoting and marketing other products and services to you, and for any other use that you authorise. 

Talent Status may use your images, profile text and/or media files for the promotion of the website. If you choose to make your profile public or include your photo in the Talent Directory that Talent Status will publish your personal information and photos, and allow other members to contact you. 

You can access and correct your personal information at any time.

As a data subject under GDPR we will assist you to the best of our abilities to exercise your rights.

2.1. Visiting our website
If you visit our website, we will log your IP address and aggregate details about site usage. 

2.2. Registration and subscription details
If you register with us and/or subscribe to certain Services, your registration and subscription details will be retained by us for the purposes of administering your account. Details we process for this purpose include: your name, date of birth, email address and contact telephone number.
Where required for our subscription Services, your payment details will be collected and used by our third party payment provider for administering Contracts on our behalf. We may access such details to address any queries or confirm payments.

2.3. Your profile(s) and other content
If you upload a profile and other content, this will be visible to other users where you have opted to make your profile public; in accordance with the Services we provide to them. The information included within your profile varies depending on what type of user you are and how much information you provide. You can access and correct your personal information at any time. We reserve the right to remove your profile from public view.

2.4. Contacting us
If you contact us (via email, telephone, post or otherwise), we may collect and retain your contact details and the contents of your communication. We shall use such details for the purpose of handling your query and keeping records of communications. See also clause 2.5, below.

2.5. Other use of your personal data
We may also use your personal data for the purposes of:
ensuring your compliance with our terms of service;
website administration and maintenance, and quality control;
investigating client complaints;
compliance with legal obligations, or protection and enforcement of our legal rights and those of other users; and/or
managing actual or potential business transactions (eg in the case of an acquisition of our business).

3. Marketing communications from us
We may send you marketing materials by email, and/or contact you by telephone for marketing purposes. We will only do this if relevant to the Services provided to you or otherwise with your consent.
You will have the option whether or not to receive communications (using our internal messaging system) from other users or employers.

We use cookies to enable us to identify whether or not a user is logged in to our Sites and/or Services.

We do not use cookies to build profiles of users for advertising or other purposes.

A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your computer’s hard drive, or on your mobile device. Talent Status offers many features that are only accessible when cookies are enabled. Cookies also help us to remember your membership details and preferences.

If you visit Talent Status with your browser settings adjusted to accept cookies, we understand that you want to use our products and services. However, you can disable cookies at any time.
User data is processed anonymously and used to identify patterns and behaviours, all data processing is private and anonymous.

5. How do we collect your personal data?
Talent Status collects the vast majority of personal data directly from you. We may also collect Other information about you including images, eg your previous roles or productions, may be collected from publicly available sources.

Talent Status collects personal information about you through your use of the services and the website, including your registration details; and information relating to your use of the web site and the content you access.

6. Special category data
We only collect or process special category data where directly relevant or incidental to the provision of our Services, for example where:
your profile or application for a job (including text, photos and other images of you) reveals racial or ethnic origin;
you have opted to disclose your membership to an industry union, such as Equity;
steps taken to monitor or ensure non-discrimination in the provision of our Services involves the use of sensitive personal data; and/or actions taken to prevent or detect of illegal activities give rise to the processing of actual or alleged offences.

7. Use of your personal data by other users
Personal data within your profile, or otherwise submitted by you as content for the Sites, may be accessed by other users in accordance with the Services provided to them. Whilst we seek to ensure all users agree to our terms of service, we are not responsible for the use or misuse of your personal data by other users (including, by way of example, any misuse of a candidate’s personal data by casting professionals, film-makers or other employers).
You may report to us if you experience any misuse of your personal data by any other user or third party in relation to our Sites or Services. We shall, at your expense, reasonably co-operate with you in enforcing our contractual terms against other users who have misused your personal data.

8. Disclosure of your personal data to other third parties
Talent Status may disclose your personal information, including your name and contact details, to the relevant authorities, parties and/or the applicable intellectual property right holders (or their representatives) where the law requires or allows us to do so.

9. Storage and security of your personal data
Your personal data is stored under the GDPR laws.
We keep your information for as long as we need to do in order to fulfil the service we offer, or to comply with requests from law enforcement agencies or regulators.
Please note that given the nature of the internet, data transmitted over our Sites or by email is not completely secure from unauthorised access or misuse.

10. Removal of your details from our Sites
You may DELETE your profile at any time. To have your personal data removed from our electronic records we must be advised in writing.

11. Access to your details
If you would like to access a copy of any personal data which we hold about you, please contact info@tsgcasting.com. We will respond within one calendar month, and won't charge you to access your information.
